About The Planes

In today’s music scene, what do you call a hard rockin’ five piece band of heterosexuals which sports no tattoos, no pierced body parts, and plays 4 full sets of your favorite songsĀ from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, today, as well as their popular originals?

“Unforgettable” is what most listeners say. An emcee at a local venue was once moved to gush, “This is the best band you’ll ever hear – here!” And we say, “Hear, Hear” to that!

Featuring the classic lineup of two guitars, keyboard, bass, and drums, the Planes deliver an eclectic mix of rhythm and blues blended with funk, jazz, rock, country, and boogie influences. For the past twenty years this veteran group has been called on in the Tallahassee area to deliver high energy fun mixed with thought provoking lyrics at festivals, weddings, fund raisers, the occasional bar, celebrations of all types – leaving a trail of loyal writhing celebrants in their wake.

Once you’ve heard them you’ll understand the buzz and just what the name, Low Flying Planes, is all about. So pull out the chocks, put on your headsets and fasten your seatbelt. The Planes are on a mission, and they’re about to take off.
